The Gurkha running 300km for Nepal

UPDATE: Yog has now completed his 300km challenge! Thanks to all who have supported him so far. If you’d like to donate to Yog’s challenge, please visit his JustGiving page.

Meet Yog Gurung. He’s a Gurkha who proudly serves the British Army as his father and grandfather did before him.

In true Gurkha spirit, he’s decided to run a total of 300km to raise money for Gurkha veterans and widows living in poverty in Nepal.

“I will be doing a total of 300km (10km every day) to raise funds for Gurkha Welfare Trust because it is close to my heart & needed more than ever.”

A proud serving Gurkha with a strong family connection, Yog wants to do his father, who has worked with us in Nepal for many years, proud by raising enough money to provide eight Gurkha veterans and widows with financial aid for a month.

“The Gurkha Welfare Trust is very dear to me and my family. Being a 3rd generation Gurkha myself, I have seen first hand the support it provides to the Gurkha veterans and their loved ones.”
