Join our fundraising brigade and become a UK Volunteer!
We are looking to expand our presence across the UK and so are looking for dedicated volunteers to help represent The Gurkha Welfare Trust in their local communities.
Whether you attend an event, host a collection to raise funds for the Trust or cheer on participants at events, you will play your part in making a massive difference to the lives of ex-Gurkhas and their widows living in the remote villages of Nepal.
By becoming a Volunteer, you will make a huge contribution to promoting our work and enriching our fundraising endeavours. There are a number of ways you can volunteer
Volunteer at an event
We hold a number of fundraising events across the UK throughout the year, raising vital funds to provide support to Gurkha veterans, their families and communities in Nepal. These events could not be possible without the help of our volunteers.
Volunteering gives the opportunity experience something that you may not ordinarily do. If you are looking to help a cause but don’t feel that fundraising yourself is an option, volunteering provides a way to give back in a different way.

Volunteer in the community
Whether it’s holding an event, helping at someone else’s or using your skills and talents to raise funds there are a huge number of ways you can make a difference to the lives of Gurkha veterans and widows in Nepal.

Become a Regional Volunteer Coordinator
As a Regional Volunteer Coordinator for The Gurkha Welfare Trust (GWT), you’ll be a key ambassador in your local area. Working closely with our Community Fundraising Officer, you’ll play a vital role in:
Supporting Gurkha Veterans: Directly contribute to improving the lives of Gurkha veterans, their widows, and their families in Nepal.
Building Community: Connect with and engage your local community, raising awareness of GWT’s work and inspiring others to support our cause.
