Chief of Staff (COS)

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and highly motivated Chief of Staff (COS) to deputise for the CEO in maintaining oversight of the operation in Nepal and to coordinate the day-to-day activities of the Trust’s head office and ensuring that the Trust’s business is carried out in a timely, efficient and cost-effective manner.

In this role, you will report directly to the CEO, working closely with the wider senior management team (SMT) both in UK and Nepal.

If you are an experienced and effective senior manager, a strategic thinker and excellent communicator with good interpersonal skills then we would very much like to hear from you.

Community Fundraiser

We are looking for an enthusiastic and talented fundraiser to join our Events & Community Fundraising team.

Working with the Events & Community Fundraising Coordinator, the successful candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering a varied programme of community fundraising activities. This currently includes a recipe club, fundraising campaigns, and attendance at events, alongside supporting those who are organising and hosting fundraisers on behalf of the Trust.

While prior third sector experience is required, it’s just as important that the successful candidate has excellent communication skills and strong organisational and administrative abilities. This is an exciting time to join the team as we drive a new strategy forward to widen our presence across the country and increase active involvement with the Trust.

Individual Giving Manager

We are seeking an experienced Individual Giving Manager to join the Gurkha Welfare Trust (GWT) and lead the Trust’s strategy, delivery and management of new donors including mail donors, regular givers, legacy prospects (from within existing donors and new), email and mid value.

The postholder will deliver all campaigns across mail, phone, email and social media to acquire new individual givers and ensure strong initial welcome and handover to stewardship and retention and develop a strong welcome journey for all new donors to the trust irrespective to how they are acquired and based on their gift level.

The role will manage the conversion of one-off donors to regular givers using cash to committed techniques and work closely with the other Individual Giving Manager to ensure a seamless migration from new to existing donor. Once an existing donor legacy strategy is created within this role, to develop an acquisition strategy for new legacy and in mem donors.

Nepal

Area Welfare Officer / Assistant Area Welfare Officer

We are currently seeking applications for the positions of Area Welfare Officers (AWO) and Assistant Area Welfare Officers (AAWO) at Gurkha Welfare Trust Nepal to implement the Trust’s welfare programme for Gurkha veterans, their families and communities in Nepal.

Applicant must have served in the British Army or Gurkha Contingent Singapore Police Force and is happy to work in any of our Area Welfare Centres countrywide.

Essential Criteria

For Area Welfare Officer: Must be EX BA/GCSPF and have attained SNCO/WO or Commissioned rank. For more details refer to the Job Description.

For Assistant Area Welfare Officer: Must be Ex BA and have attained at least Corporal rank and in case of Ex GCSPF at least Sergeant rank. For more detail refer to the Job Description.
