Based on the traditional Gurkha Recruitment Doko race in Nepal, the challenge saw participants run 5km through Wimbledon Common, carrying a traditional Doko basket weighing either 5kg, 10kg or 15kg with a time to beat of 46 minutes. It was a challenging cross-country route with a few hills, and all the runners put in a huge effort despite the scorching heat!

A huge thank you to everyone who took on this year’s Doko Challenge South, helping to raise an incredible £8,000 for The Gurkha Welfare Trust. These funds will go such a long way in supporting vulnerable Gurkha veterans, their widows, and communities in Nepal.
