Prince Harry supports Gurkha veterans at Audi Polo Challenge

We and the brave Gurkha veterans we support are incredibly grateful to HRH Prince Harry for nominating us to be one of the charity beneficiaries of last weekend’s Audi Polo Challenge 2018.

Watched by his new wife Meghan, the Duke of Sussex didn’t let the 30-degree weather stop him from winning on both Saturday and Sunday.

A host of celebrities attended the event including Eddie Redmayne, Matt Smith and Lily James.

Our very own Donor Relationship Manager Piers Lawson captivated the star-studded audience with an emotional speech, reminding those at the Audi Polo Challenge of the hardship that Gurkha veterans face.

“In 2015, there was a very large earthquake in Nepal and since then we have rebuilt over 1,200 houses that were destroyed in that earthquake belonging to Gurkha veterans.”

We really appreciate the generous donations given by those who attended the Audi Polo Challenge. The money raised will make a huge difference to the lives of Gurkha veterans and their families facing hardship in Nepal.
