Forge Experience Day with Master Blacksmith Doug Campbell FWCB

Learn basic hand-forging techniques, fire control, and the use of simple tooling to create something beautiful. Doug will take you through the process needed to create items which you may take home with you to treasure forever.
This instructive and fascinating course will take place at Caimeuls Forge, located in Bushey, Hertfordshire. The forge is located in the old dairy parlour of one of Bushey’s original farms, complete with cobbled floor, a cold office where they used to store the milk, and free roaming geese who peer through the door to supervise what’s being made!
Royal Chelsea Hospital Exclusive Lunch and Tour

Step inside one of Britain’s most historic and prestigious institutions with this unique experience for four people at the Royal Hospital Chelsea, home of the world-famous Chelsea Pensioners.
Your day begins with a delicious lunch in the magnificent Great Hall, where you’ll dine alongside the Pensioners themselves. Surrounded by centuries of history, and the striking oak panelling and portraits that line the Hall, this is a rare opportunity to share stories and conversation with the veterans who have served our country with distinction.
After lunch, enjoy a private guided tour of the Royal Hospital, led by one of the Pensioners. Your guide will share personal insights and fascinating tales, from the hospital’s founding by King Charles II in 1682 to its role today as a living community. Explore the beautiful grounds, historic buildings, and discover the traditions that have made this one of London’s most treasured landmarks. A wonderful blend of heritage, camaraderie, and hospitality — arranged on a mutually convenient date for all.
