Gurkha soldiers auction off Christmas cakes to help Gurkha veterans
Last week, we were delighted to hear from Unit Catering Manager Staff Sergeant Dipak Pun who sent us images of some rather impressive Christmas cakes.
The cakes were baked and decorated by none other than soldiers from 2nd Royal Gurkha Rifles as part of their annual festive competition, with the goal of junior chefs honing their artistic cooking skills.
The beautifully decorated creations were auctioned at two of the units’ Christmas parties, raising £571.02 for our work in Nepal.
