Emergency relief for village struck by floods

GWT has delivered emergency relief supplies to 25 families from the remote village of Hile in Lamjung after their homes were damaged or swept away by monsoon floods in June.

With no safe place to live the families had been taking shelter at relatives’ homes or in rented accommodation.

With funding provided by the Foreign & Commonwealth Development Office, GWT was able to provide CGI sheets, blankets and bedding items and Covid-19 preventive materials to these villagers. These vital supplies will help them reconstruct their homes and rebuild their lives.
