Keela International Ltd first partnered with The Gurkha Welfare Trust in 2022. Operating from the East Coast of Scotland, Keela is a British garment manufacturer with over three decades of experience serving Military, Tactical, Emergency Services, and Armed Forces worldwide providing high-quality outdoor clothing designed to withstand the changeable British weather conditions, perfectly mirroring the unpredictable extremes our staff encounter in remote Nepal. The rugged, often snowy mountain tracks and sudden, sharp temperature drops demand technical gear that is both durable and insulating. This donation ensures our teams are protected as they travel to reach our beneficiaries in the remotest corners of the country.

Protecting the Protectors

Having read about The Gurkha Welfare Trust’s work, Keela made the incredible decision to donate a range of clothing items they knew would be perfect for our team on the ground in Nepal. At the time, Keela’s support complemented the Trust’s 2022 Winter Allowance, through which our team distributed warm hats, gloves, and scarves to our Gurkha pensioners and their widows.
