The Challenge
Trailwalker UK is the ultimate team endurance event. The challenge is to walk, jog or run 100km across the South Downs Way in under 30 hours in a team of four, with a support crew to help you get to the finish line.
Starting at Queen Elizabeth Country Park early on Saturday morning, the Trailwalker route takes you along the stunning and historical South Downs Way to the finish line at Brighton Racecourse. You will pass through 9 checkpoints along the course. The distance between the checkpoints varies from 6km to 13km.
From the minute you sign up, the Trailwalker team will support you with communications, advice, and guides. We’ll get you safely across the course over the event weekend and you’ll be cheered along by an amazing team of volunteers. With our support, you’ll find the strength you never knew you had to get to the finish line.
New for 2026 – the Trailwalker Relay
With the new Relay option, there’s less distance to cover but it will really put your teamwork to the test! Your first team will set off with the other participants at Queen Elizabeth Country Park, with the first changeover after 28km at Checkpoint 3. The route is split into four legs of approx. 25km and you can have 3 or 4 people on each section. Then you all get to join the finish celebrations and enjoy the famous curry at Brighton Racecourse!
A lifetime ambition or the ultimate corporate team-building exercise – either way you are going to be part of something amazing.
Fundraising
We ask your Trailwalker team to pledge to raise £1,200 for The Gurkha Welfare Trust as part of their challenge. For relay team members we ask you to set a target of £300 per person.
