Well Done to all of the Doko South Challengers 2026
A fantastic day was had at Wimbledon Common for our Doko South Challenge. A massive congratulations to everyone who took part in the race on Sunday, 14 June.

Based on the traditional Gurkha Recruitment Doko race in Nepal, the challenge saw participants run 5km through Wimbledon Common, carrying a traditional Doko basket weighing either 5kg, 10kg or 15kg with a time to beat of 46 minutes. It was a challenging cross-country route with a few hills, and all the runners put in a huge effort despite the heat!
A huge thank you to everyone who took on this year’s Doko Challenge South, helping to raise an incredible £5,960 for The Gurkha Welfare Trust. These funds will go such a long way in supporting vulnerable Gurkha veterans, their widows, and communities in Nepal.
