We are keeping Gurkha veterans and widows warm this winter, thanks to the generosity of supporters like you.
Winters in Nepal can be bitterly cold, with the temperatures often plummeting to a chilly sub-zero. For Gurkha veterans and widows living in remote mountain villages, surviving the winter weather can be tough. To keep them warm we provide a Winter Allowance as an annual gift on top of the monthly financial aid we deliver to them. In the past, we have distributed blankets, warm jackets and thermal flasks.
This year we will be handing out warm hats, scarves and gloves to over 3,800 pensioners, including those living in our Residential Homes.
