TRUSTEES UPDATE: Monsoon status

Reports have been coming in over the weekend of worse than normal rains which have affected a number of our projects.

To date there have been no reports of casualties among our beneficiary community but checks are being made across the country.

Currently AWC Diktel is the worst affected. The latest SITREP as of 09:30 was that the rain was still coming down, telephones and electricity down but mobiles working and generators being used from 10:30 hrs-12:30 and 13:30 hrs-15:30. All staff are accounted for.

School damage

We have had some photos from our projects at Shree Janajagriti Primary School in Bhojpur and Shree Himalaya HSS in Gorkha who have both had landslips over the weekend. Our team will visit shortly to assess and put a plan for repairs in place.
