Our telephone fundraising campaign
Throughout March, we will be contacting supporters who have requested a cotton tote bag to support “the bravest of the brave” and ask them to consider supporting Gurkha veterans, their widows, and communities with a regular gift.
Please read our FAQs below, or for more information call 01722 323 955 or email email@example.com
Why are you contacting me?
We are contacting you as you have requested a cotton tote bag to support “the bravest of the brave”. If you are unable to take the call at the time, please let the caller know and they can either call back or remove you from the calling list if you prefer.
Are you using a telephone agency?
We are partnering with a professional telephone fundraising agency called Ethicall to help us make these calls. They will be calling from 0117 325 3929. Ethicall works solely with charities and aims to help supporters feel more connected to our work. Should you want to confirm it is Ethicall, you can call this number back, which will play an automated message telling you it was us who rang. You can find out more about Ethicall at www.ethicall.org.uk.
How is the telephone agency paid?
Using a telephone fundraising agency is a very cost-effective way of speaking to our supporters, allowing us to contact thousands in a short space of time. Ethicall is a team of paid fundraisers who are paid a set hourly rate and do not work on commission. Ethicall’s fundraisers are motivated by the cause rather than financial incentives.
How much money do you hope to raise?
Through this campaign, we are aiming to raise £26,800 in the next four years, plus Gift Aid.
How do I change my communication preferences?
How do I make a complaint about the call I have just received?
Our supporters are at the heart of what we do, and we apologise if you’re not happy with the call you have received. Please get in touch if you’re not happy about the call you receive. You can do this by email: firstname.lastname@example.org, phone: 01722 323955 or by writing to us at The Gurkha Welfare Trust, PO Box 2170, 22 Queen Street, Salisbury, SP2 2EX.
All complaints are fully investigated, and we will work closely with Ethicall to address this promptly and professionally.
Do I have to provide you with my bank details?
Direct Debits are the most effective way of making a regular donation to charity. However, in order to set up a Direct Debit, we will need a sort code and account number (these are the same details found on a cheque). These details can only be used to pay money into your account or set up a Direct Debit. When you set up your Direct Debit, you will receive a Direct Debit Guarantee confirming your Direct Debit, as well as a welcome pack with more information on the Trust.
