A special thank you to our fundraising brigade
A huge congratulations and thank you to all those who have taken part in 292GWT.
Across the country, new GWT fundraising brigade recruits have given up their extra day in 2020 to fundraise and spread the word about our vital work in Nepal.
From Facebook fundraisers to virtual cycle rides, we’re so grateful to those who have given their time to support our work.
The Gurkha Kitchen in Nottingham showed their support by hosting a GWT table in their restaurant. The table promoted our work and accepted donations their customers.

In recognition of the fantastic work and activities held by all those fundraisers, we have created a 292GWT Roll of Honour:

By showing their support, they’ve helped brave Gurkha pensioners like Rifleman Dhana Bahadur Rai who served with the 7th Gurkha Rifles in the late 1960s.
Thank you everyone who took part for your help and support. It is only because of you that Gurkha veterans, their widows and wider communities can live with the dignity that they deserve.
For some, like Bill Brown, who is hosting a virtual cycle to “Mount Everest”, their activities are still in the planning stages. Be make sure to keep an eye out on our Facebook page, Events and Challenges page and e-newsletter to see if there is an activity happening in your area soon.
