Sales of raffle tickets help veterans like Rifleman Dhandal Limbu

Dhandal was recruited from his home village in the Tehrathum district of Nepal in 1942. During his tenure with the 10th Gurkha Rifles, he fought valiantly across the world and proudly recalls the medals he was awarded for his service: the 1939-45 Star, the Burma Star and the War Medal.

In 1947, with the British Army downsizing, he was released from his service and returned to his home village, where he still lives today with his wife, Mansari. He and Mansari now rely solely on The Trust to get by via a pension we pay them as well as vital medical care which we deliver at their remote home.

By entering this raffle, you are helping ensure that we can continue this level of support for thousands of brave men like Dhandal as well as their families. For 200 years they have fought for us – now, we fight for them.

Missed out but still want to help veterans like Dhandal?

Your support is still vital to ensure we can continue to care for Dhandal, his wife Mansari and others like them in Nepal. Over the next few months, we will be continuing to build earthquake-resilient homes for pensioners, and our teams will still be in the field delivering medical care direct to pensioners in their homes.
