What is Dashain?
The Hindu festival of Dashain is celebrated by many of our pensioners, staff and communities. Dashain most auspicious festival in the Nepali Hindu calendar and commemorates goddess Durgar’s victory over the demon Mahishasura. It’s a time for family reunions and enjoying feasts together while exchanging gifts and blessings, making it an ideal time to honour the Gurkhas with a curry night with your family and friends.
