Corporate Partnerships

Through a corporate partnership with the Trust, your organisation can help us to continue our work supporting thousands of Gurkha veterans and widows in Nepal, who would otherwise live their last days in poverty and ill health.

Take a look at a list of our existing partnerships with companies that support our cause.

Why support the GWT?

We recognise that there are many motivating factors for going into a partnership with a charity, so our starting point will always be to have an open discussion with you about your objectives.

You may wish to engage in charity work as part of your Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). You might have a particular affinity with Nepal or a brand association with the Gurkhas.

Perhaps, like many companies, you employ ex-Gurkhas or have served alongside them. Or maybe you'd just like to give something back for their incredible military service over the past 200 years.

How can you help?

Employee fundraising

Engage and empower your employees with a cause that improves lives by nominating the GWT as your Charity of the Year.

We would be delighted to collaborate on bespoke fundraising activities that you and your colleagues can take part in and enjoy.

One of our most popular annual events is Trailwalker – a 100km team challenge across the South Downs, organised with Oxfam and the Queen's Gurkha Signals.

As a commercial business we’ve been delighted by the team building, goodwill and CSR benefits that our participation has reaped. But the greatest pleasure derives from the simple achievement of crossing the finish line in support of the noble cause of our charity partner

Cause-related and affinity promotions

Strategically align your brand or product with the GWT to raise funds as well as increase sales, retain and recruit customers, or engage with a mass audience by supporting a cause that has a special affection in the hearts of the British public.

Sponsoring a Trust event or project is a great way to raise awareness, as well enabling staff, customers and suppliers to get involved with your organisation.

If required, we can provide support and materials to assist you in the planning of a particular fundraising event.

Make a donation

It’s not just financial donations that can help Gurkha veterans and their dependants.

Donating a gift in kind, such as medical equipment, can showcase your company’s products or services by supporting areas of the Trust’s vital relief work out in the field.

Alternatively, you may like to donate goods and services as prizes for fundraising raffles and auctions.

That’s around £49,000 each day to improve the lives of our old Gurkhas and their communities.
