Last Sunday, 19 October 2014, hundreds of runners turned out to enjoy a surprisingly sunny Salisbury Half Marathon. The GWT was charity partner of the event for the first time this year.

Setting off to the inspiring tunes of a Gurkha Piper, runners were also welcomed over the finish line by soldiers from Queen’s Gurkha Signals who had volunteered to help out on the day.

Plaudits go to race winner Mark Couldwell who finished the 13 miles in a time of 1hour 12mins 54secs and received his medal from Lance Corporal Sunil Gurung.

Our thanks go to race organisers Total Buzz Events, to our Gurkha volunteers and to all the runners who made this such a great event!
