DFID and the GWT

Since 1989, The Gurkha Welfare Trust and the UK Department for International Development have developed a programme providing safe drinking water supplies and sanitation schemes in remote villages in Nepal.

This scheme, known as the Rural Water and Sanitation Programme (RWSP), is primarily funded with UK aid from the British people. So far, nearly 1,500 projects have been completed benefitting over 300,000 people.
