Summary

Organised in partnership with Oxfam, Trailwalker is the ultimate in long distance challenges: teams of four taking on an unforgettable 100km journey across the South Downs.

The event is managed by Gurkhas and Gurkha teams lead the charge, but thousands of competitors take part from all age groups.

The most epic team challenge I have ever taken on!

Dan V, veteran Trailwalker

Nothing will beat the feeling of walking over the finish line... except maybe that first bite of the Gurkha curry that will be waiting for you!

Volunteer

Not walking but would like to take part?

Volunteering at Trailwalker is a fantastic, unique experience; it’s a lot of fun and a great way to meet new people. It is a huge physical and mental challenge for those daring enough to take it on, and the enthusiastic team of volunteers along the route make all the difference when walkers are starting to feel like they can't go on!

Volunteers’ roles include supporting the logistics of the start and finish areas, hosting registration tents, stewarding at checkpoints and most importantly cheering walkers in when they reach each checkpoint.

If you would like to join us to help at some point over the weekend, we would love to hear from you. Please contact us on challenges@gwt.org.uk or call 01722 323955.
