In the late 1990s, the Trust instigated a comprehensive medical scheme. Each welfare pension payment day, the AWC Medical Officer would speak with Rifleman Pun to offer the encouragement and reassurance he needed to seek treatment for his condition.
He was admitted to Manipul Hospital and after a simple operation he is no longer afflicted by the danger and discomfort of the growth.
