CONCERT BY THE BAND OF THE BRIGADE OF GURKHAS AND PIPERS OF 1ST BATTALION THE ROYAL GURKHA RIFLES

The Band of the Brigade of Gurkhas and pipers of 1st Battalion The Royal Gurkha Rifles recently presented another spectacular musical entertainment to a packed audience at Darlington's Dolphin Centre.

The 12th annual concert, sponsored by Sherwoods of Darlington, was organised by Yorkshire branch chairman of The Gurkha Welfare Trust, Lieutenant Colonel Keith Ryding with the help of Gurkha Company in Catterick Garrison and members of local Gurkha community. The primary purpose of the evening was to raise funds in aid of The Gurkha Welfare Trust.

All proceeds from the concert, expected to raise over £10,000 will be put to good use to benefit the oldest and most frail Gurkha ex-Servicemen and their widows in Nepal.
