Irish Guards singers join Gurkhas on parade

Gurkha soldiers from Queen's Gurkha Signals based at Imphal Barracks in York recently supported the Irish Guards Singers at a special fundraising event in aid of the Gurkha Welfare Trust.

The event, at ASDA in Hunt's Cross, proved to be another success story for the Halton choir, which has raised huge sums in the past. John Hyland, of the Irish Guards Singers, said: "It proved to be another success story with the general public showing genuine affection for this famous and much-loved Regiment.
"Musical conductor Carmel Rourke and my lads performed to perfection."

The Gurkha Welfare Trust is privileged to receive a splendid donation of £1,400.00 from this event. And our grateful thanks to the Irish Guards Singers and 246 Gurkha Signal Squadron, Queen's Gurkha Signals.
