TRAILWALKER
Walk 100k from Petersfield to Brighton and raise money for GWT and Oxfam
Trailwalker:
Four people, one goal, 100 kilometres in 30 hours.
Teams of four each with a support crew.
Starts in Petersfield and finishes in Brighton.
Follows the South Downs Way.
10 checkpoints along the trail.
An amazing experience that combines endurance, navigation, determination and teamwork.
The Gurkha team have never been beaten (Course record -- 9hrs 50 mins)!
In 2009:
Almost £450,000 raised for GWT
Over 500 teams started the event
250 Gurkha's deployed from QGS
In 2010:
Break the £500,000 barrier
Aiming for 600 teams to start the event
