Trailwalker raises £1.5m
The Trailwalker Awards Evening took place on the 14th October 2011 where it was announced that a record breaking £1.5m was raised at this year's Trailwalker.
The evening toasted the winners and paid tribute to the time and energy of all those who had taken part in this year's event.
Prizes were awarded to, amongst others, the Fastest Team, 10 Queen's Own Gurkha Logistic Regiment who completed the course in a phenomenal 10:42:17 (pictured above right), the Fastest Mixed Team, Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers who completed the course in an exceptional 12:45:45 and the Fastest Female Team, Prada Girls who completed in a wonderful 18:12:45.
Guests heard inspirational stories from participants and learned where the hard earned money they had walked 60 miles for, would be going.
The evening concluded with the presentation of the cheque to the Trust and Oxfam by State Street Bank and Queen's Gurkha Signals (pictured below right).
The Trust would like to extend its grateful thanks to all those who took part in this year's Trailwalker and made such a wonderful sum for our old soldiers.
