A team of seven Gurkhas will climb seven Scottish peaks over seven days from Sunday 27 June to Saturday 3 July, starting with Ben Nevis in the West and ending with Mount Keen in the East. They will attend various events and meetings en route. The Seven Summits will commemorate seven historical Gurkha campaigns up to Borneo and seven more recent operations from the Falklands to Afghanistan. They will also publicise seven major aspects of the work of The Gurkha Welfare Trust.
The first seven of these marches were organised and led by Neil Griffiths who is helping this year with the publicity. Vice Patron, Joanna Lumley has always been a strong supporter of the event.
