The GWS operates through a network of 19 Area Welfare Centres across the Brigade's traditional recruiting areas in Nepal as well as one centre in Darjeeling, India. This extensive network is supported by 13 patrol bases reaching far into the Hills.

Area Welfare Centres
Area Welfare Centre Syangja is located about 35 kilometres southwest of the sub-metropolitan city of Pokhara. It is 830 metres above sea level.It was one of the first AWCs to be built and sits in an area of about half an acre of land which is on lease.

Patrol Bases
Jiri patrol base is situated in North East Nepal. It lies at an altitude of 2000 m above sea level. It is located some 200 km North East of Kathmandu and is currently at the very end of the national road network.

Manipal Teaching Hospital is one of the two major hospitals in Pokhara.
